Therapy & Service Dogs
Finding a therapy or service companion
Why temperament, energy and a thoughtful match matter when your puppy has a special role ahead.
Valley Vineyard Labradoodles

Anyone that needs a therapy or service dog will be given extra consideration and we will evaluate the pup more closely to make sure they have the energy and temperament for the exact work they may be expected to do. For example, some service animals require a higher energy, as trainers tell us they need a dog very willing to get to work, not a couch potato. For therapy work, a pup that tracks closely, is lower energy and very attached, may be more important. We do temperament testing of each pup to make sure their temperament is solid, and then we help you choose the right pup and litter to make sure your pup is a great match. A great deal of effort is placed on only breeding dogs that have a great temperament! So much of parent temperament passes down to the offspring. We start with labradoodle parents that have excellent temperaments to ensure that every litter we produce, brings us pups that can qualify for therapy or service work. Once we have your application, we will review it in great detail to determine the perfect pup and litter for your situation.
