October 31, 2025 – All of the puppies are home with their forever families. Always bitter sweet here, as we see their empty room. We’ve heard lots of good reports and we know they all went to wonderful homes where they are loved and well cared for. Thank you to all of the families that chose us for their next family member! Because of these families, and this litter, we were able to donate $2,400.00 to ministries that are rescuing, feeding, and educating children all over the world. Funds were given to Amazima Ministries, Our Rescue and the Tim Tebow Foundation. We pray for each pup, that they bring so much love and blessings to their humans!

October 9, 2025 – Suzy and Percy’s puppies are getting ready for home! We had such a busy week; we’re on the home stretch and making sure we keep everyone and everything on schedule (sometimes it’s like running a little preschool here!) Each day we have to get in play time, baths and blow drying (conditioning purposes), leash training, crate training, feeding schedules and snuggle and socialization time with one-on-one, individual attention. This week we are practicing “sit” and “come!”.
This week we also had someone come in to do temperament testing with each pup. (All pups seem very comparable for sure!) And we just got home from the vet exams and vaccination appointments and all pups are healthy, as we expected.
Below are the photos we took of them at seven weeks old! We posted their official weights from the vet with their pictures. Candy, Chip and Pringle are all a little smaller than their siblings. They will probably grow close to mama’s size, around 40-44 lbs. Tostito is kind of in the middle of all the weights, and will probably be around 45 lbs. And the others look to be on track to be dad’s size, around 50 lbs. Here they are, doing great!
We’ve also posted info on temperaments and personalities. We’ve been observing and taking notes all week. Their personalities are just starting to show at seven weeks of age, but we’re watching for confidence, energy levels, following, affection, and more. They are ALL exactly where we want them to be at this point! All of the pups did great on their temperament testing and all are expected to live happy, confident, anxiety-free, successful lives! Families, just keep up the work we started here and you’ll have an amazing dog for life. Please keep in mind that personalities will continue to form in their forever environments! The families and training styles they go home to will have a huge impact on their adult personality. We’ve laid the foundation and the pups will be molded by the love, leadership and training their forever families pout into them.

Candy is a favorite of one of the staff here. She says she loves Candy’s fun personality. She loves that Candy is engaging and energetic in ways that shows her little quirky traits. Others described her as playful, “bouncy,” great on leash, good in the crate (though not her favorite yet), cuddly, smart and observant. She does good on stairs, one more sign that shows her confidence. The temperament tester said she did great, but she’s slightly shy and uncomfortable until she gets to know you. We have only seen her confident, fun, social side. Based on the temperament tester’s notes, she may just like to observe and gain trust first before diving in.
Ruffles is described as mellow, easy-going, and unbothered by most things. (This was the temperament tester’s words.) She’s great on leash, not comfortable with her crate yet (we’re working on that daily!), she’s adventurous and smart. She loves being outside and exploring new places. Another staff member described her as very “sweet.” She’s affectionate and pretty well-balanced in every way.
Frito is described as one of the favorites very early on. First to sit, very affectionate. Very focused on us, wanting attention and love and striving to be close to us. Calm, curious, good on leash, mostly described as fairly mellow, and chilled out. He was the biggest in the early days, and he showed to be the leader, calming moving about the litter as a calm, confident alpha. He’s described as “great” on leash. Just a confident little guy. Frito thrived on human interaction before the others really even noticed us humans. He’s loving and he will be a great companion, longing to be close to his humans. ( I think I just described each and every one of them!)
Pringle is described as so mellow, so laid back and easy going. We’ve been trying to determine is this shy or just really mellow? The temperament tester thought he showed to be somewhat on the shy side. It’s always good to get a stranger’s perspective. We don’t see that. We see him as so loving and cuddly, loving to be held. With strangers, and in strange environments though, he shows to be less confident and his confidence will grow in time. He may never be a leader, a pup that would rather follow and go with the flow of what’s happening. We can say that he is one of the first to sit, longing to be picked up, very smart in understanding what he needs to do to get the attention he wants. He doesn’t seem nervous at all around those of us that are with them each day.
Cracker Jack is a well balanced pup, great on leash, friendly and social with those he knows. A little on the shy side with strangers. He likes to observe a little before rushing in. He is smart and is easily trained by understanding what is asked of him. Affectionate and loving, but a little more reserved in new situations. The temperament tester described him as affectionate, cuddly, submissive and a little on the shy side. Exactly what we see here. Cracker Jack does well on the leash and in the crate. He’s pretty adaptable already! We mostly see him as really easy going and just blends with whatever is going on here.
Tostito is so much like his brother Cracker Jack, in every way! They not only look alike, but personality and temperament is so close. Tostito is described as friendly, very social, snuggly and affectionate, calm, good on leash and in the crate. Overall, Tostito shows to be calm and social. Very confident in a laid back way. The temperament tester wrote that he is friendly and affectionate. Very snuggly. He warms up easily to new people and new situations.
Chip started off showing to be fairly shy and timid. A little slower to catch up with his siblings. Part of that is common, with the pup that is smallest from the beginning. Well, he’s caught up quite nicely! Chip doesn’t seem shy at all any more. He is smart and submissive and sits for attention and loves to snuggle. The temperament tester showed him to be very shy, but we retested him a couple days later and he showed complete confidence. He’s described as adventurous, great on leash, good in the crate. He loves being held. He seems very calm and assured with those of us with him daily.
Peanut seems to be the most sensitive and a little vocal. He is the one telling us to “hurry it up,” when he sees we are preparing meal time. He seems to be talking to us. Very smart pup. He is incredibly affectionate, and wants to be with us humans any chance he can get. He doesn’t like to be left out, and is vocal to tell us he has needs that need attention. The temperament tester described him as very smart and affectionate. He will be very loyal, and focused on his person (they all will be!) and he does great on leash and is good in the crate. He cries for a minute because he doesn’t like being separated from his humans. He’s described as fairly easy-going. I say he’s easy going as long as he’s close to his people! He’s a sensitive, very loving pup. Such a lover. I think he will love being held for hours. Perhaps he will see himself as a lap dog, always wanting to be at your feet or in your lap. Pretty sure this is him! So sweet.
All of the pups in testing showed to be highly adaptable, easy going, very trainable, social and equally intelligent. We think they all exhibit a fairly similar energy, as we don’t see one pup that is much higher energy than the rest (we do see that sometimes, but not with this litter.) We’re not quite sure who is the “alpha’ in this litter. It seemed to be Frito in the earlier weeks, but as the others grew in size and confidence, they all seemed to have matched the confidence and energy level of the pack.
October 2, 2025 – Suzy and Percy’s puppies are six weeks old now! They are fully weaned from mama and eating entirely on their own. They are doing great at litter box training, and we are working on crate training every day. They still are inconsistent in the crate, as expected at this stage, and we just have to let them cry and whine a bit, and the reward comes when they are quiet, then we let them out. It is so important for them to work through this stage of learning to settle themselves down and be apart from the litter and to quiet down in the crate. We try to make it a positive experience, with soft toys and bones in the crate. And we make sure they are worn out from play as they are learning there is a special place they need to go to sleep. Within a day or two, they’ll be taking long naps in their crates by themselves. It’s all so important for their conditioning and their adjustment to learning to be okay by themselves. The crate will eventually become their “cave” better known as their safe place. We’re also working on leash training and sitting this week. They’re getting there! All is going well here. 🙂 Here are the photos we took of them today.

September 26, 2025 – Suzy and Percy’s puppies are growing up and doing great! They are conditioned to so many scary noises now, and we are focusing on new experiences to build their confidence daily. This week, they’ve had lots of outings outside to explore grass, wood chips, etc. A couple of them have begun their first fear stage, which can happen typically at five to seven weeks of age. Two of them were suddenly more startled by blow dryers, and we get the opportunity to soothe them and encourage them through it. It’s all good! Natural progression is happening and the pups are exactly where we want them to be in all of their conditioning. They started on mushy kibble this week and they love it! This gives mama a break, and it prepares them for the slow weaning process soon. Here are the pictures we took of them, now five weeks old.

September 18, 2025 – Suzy and Percy’s puppies are fulling hearing now, are getting really good at using their litter box, and they’re starting to show interest in toys. We bring them out for play time daily and they are mostly walking around and checking things out. Soon, they’ll be playing and chasing! They’re really chilled out already at all the sounds we’ve introduced them to. They are so comfortable with us and so laid back! When we pick them up, they are so relaxed. Just as we expect by this point. Here they are at four weeks old!

September 12, 2025 – The puppies are starting to hear! They’re eyes are more open and they are beginning to watch us and focus on us humans a little bit. They are all doing very well! We are now introducing them to new “scary” sounds each day to add to their conditioning. We play sounds of thunderstorms, fireworks, vacuums and more, to help them become really easy-going pups that are free from anxiety. This is all very important to do, before their first fear stage sets in, anywhere from five to seven weeks old. Today they had a bath and blow dry (we also blow dry them regularly to help them be conditioned to groomers) and we took pictures of them. Now three weeks old!

And here are some random shots of the pups in their pen. Mostly, they still just sleep and eat.

September 5, 2025 – The puppies are doing great. Over the past two days, they opened their eyes! They squint hard to try and view us when we pick them up, always so drowsy. They’re still so tired all the time, but they want to see what’s going on. It won’t be long now before they’re moving about the pen and getting ready for play. We tried to get pictures of them while they were at least a little awake.
They still can’t hear; that’ll happen in about a week. They are all healthy and are gaining weight steadily. Suzy always stays near them and is a very attentive, gentle mama. We love her calm, quiet demeanor around them, as we know she brings her calm presence to the litter.
They get massages, baths and biosensor conditioning every day. We are falling in love over here. It happens all over again, each and every time. We’re loving them and raising them, to let them go on to live their best lives with their families that are waiting for them. Here are the pictures we took of them, now two weeks old. Oh, if only you could experience the puppy breath!

August 29, 2025 – Things are going well here and all of the pups have consistently been gaining weight. They’re getting so relaxed in our hands more and more each day as we do the biosensor steps on them, massage them and give them warm baths. They are all doing very well, as expected! They can’t see or hear yet; that will be about another week. Their pigmentation is just starting to darken, their noses and paw pads will be darkening over the next couple of weeks. We wanted you to see who’s who and let you see their cute faces. We’ll post an individual picture of them about once a week so you can watch each grow. They turned one week old yesterday. Here they are!

August 25, 2025 – We’re excited to have pups in our home again! Suzy has settled right in here, and she adapted immediately to being a mama. This is her first litter, and sometimes it doesn’t go as smoothly. But she’s a natural at it, and she’s been nothing but content and nurturing since that first pup arrived on Thursday. Her first pup arrived at 7:30 am on Aug 21. And the delivery of all pups was uneventful, and peaceful. By early afternoon, we had eight pups, all reds. We have two girls and six boys. We welcome to our world Suzy’s “Snack” litter: Candy, Ruffles, Peanut, Frito, Cracker Jack, Chip, Pringle and Tostito! We’ll post individual pictures of each pup within a week or so and you’ll get to see who’s who.
