August 1, 2024 – Rosie and Elijah’s puppies are home! We’re so thankful for each of the families that trusted us with their new family member. Because of them, and this litter, we are able to donate $2,400 to Our Rescue and The Tim Tebow Foundation, a great organization that is fighting the exploitation of children and rescuing kids around the world.
We’re hearing great reports from all of the people that adopted from this litter. We’re getting texts like, “Not one accident,” “Loves their crate and sleeps through the night,” “So confident, fearless, and gets along great with the other dogs” and we love hearing those things!
Thank you to all of you. And they lived happily ever after!

July 11, 2024 – Rosie and Elijah’s pups are on their final stretch for home. They are doing very well! Leash training, crate training, sound conditioning and socializing outside of the pen are part of every day’s routine. They are gaining in confidence, are bonded to humans and are social and confident. They are totally non reactive at storm sounds, traffic sounds, fireworks, vacuums, blenders, blow dryers and more.
The pups went through their temperament testing yesterday and each pup is exactly as we want them to be. We find after years of scoring temperaments, pups usually score almost identical. We seem some variations in energy levels and confidence, but they are still developing and changing. Also, fear stage is starting to set in for some of them (that too, can come at different times for each.) As they will now go in and out of fear stages throughout puppyhood, we feel we have prepared them with a great foundation to grow up to be anxiety-free, intelligent, wonderful family members for life.
Here are the pictures we took of them, now almost seven weeks old! We’ve also noted some personality traits and temperament information that we gathered. Please know that at seven weeks of age, their personalities are just beginning to show. We find that their family members and new environments will play a major role in the personalities they eventually become. For example, we’ve seen the most energetic pup, become the most relaxed, calm puppy when going home to seniors in a quiet home. We’ve seen the most laid back, calm pup become high energy in the environment of a busy household with kids running around. Here is what we see so far.
Important to note: All of the pups scored mostly 3’s and 4’s across the board on their temperament scoring. This means they fit into the category that describes all of them as outgoing and friendly and will adjust well in situations. Flexible and very adaptable. Easy to train and easy to control with proper training and exercise. Gentle and affectionate, overall. They are all exactly where we expect them to be!
Ruby – Patient, calm, lower energy, observant and prefers to follow more than lead. She prefers just observing for a bit before jumping in. Ruby will go into a forever guardian home to join our breeding program some day.
Rosalie – Slightly taller than her sisters, higher energy, one of the last pups to slow down after play, loves attention, silly and playful, fun, active, spirited. Rosalie is going home to join the McMann family.
Rosemary – Affectionate, lower energy, calm, loves to snuggle. Rosemary will be joining the Gumatay family.
Robbie – Loves affection and cuddling, is retrieving already, and is a follower. Showing to be a little more shy and also scored slightly more submissive. Growing in confidence to catch up with siblings. Robbie is going to join the Martin family in Iowa.
Roger – One of the first to lose energy and settle down, a little more shy, loves being held and snuggling. Is already retrieving. More sensitive to loud noises and sudden new experiences. This is a reflection of him being a little more on the shy side. He likes to check things out before diving in. Roger will go home to the Fairbanks family.
Reggie – Playful, energetic, curious. Confident and is more of a leader than a follower. Will instigate new things and lead the others. Reggie is joining the Roberts family.
Remington – One of the first to greet us when we approach the pen, friendly, confident. Usually the first to sit to get attention. Remington will join the Nelson family.
Rambo – Very affectionate, loves to snuggle, but also likes to lead and instigate play with others. Scored slightly higher on submissiveness. Rambo will be joining the Beamer family.
Richard – Kind of just goes with the flow. Not a leader, but blends in and goes with whatever is going on in the room. Very confident and affectionate. Biggest in the pack and is expected to grow beyond his parents and be a standard size, 45-50 lbs.

July 5, 2024 – The Fourth of July was pretty uneventful here with these pups! The fireworks in the area were going until well past midnight, but none of the pups were effected. Seems they’re fully conditioned to all the noises now. They are doing so well at using their litter box and they have been working on crate training all week. All is going well here! They’ve already had a busy day today with playtime, baths and blow drying, crate time, and then time for pictures. Here they are at six weeks old!

June 29, 2024 – The pups are getting cuter every day! Their coats are starting to fill in and they’re more interactive and responsive to us. Their bonding with us humans is so evident. They are are starting to chase and play, yet so calm when picked up and they love to be held and snuggle in our arms. They’re right where we want them to be at this stage. They are now desensitized to so many “scary” noises and sounds of thunderstorms, traffic, fireworks, vacuums and more, and those loud noises don’t phase them at all. Here they are after a bath and blow dry, posing nicely for their pictures.

June 21, 2024 – Rosie and Elijah’s puppies are getting bigger! The puppies are doing very well. They are playing and wrestling now, not chasing yet, but engaging with each other and us. They come toward us, show affection and maintain eye contact. They love being held, and are conditioned fully to humans. They love being held and are in the early stages of bonding with us humans. They are still fiercely bonded to mama, and her to them, but we can see subtle changes beginning to take place.
The pups get massages, play time, baths and blow drying done on a daily basis. It’s all part of their temperament conditioning. Also, they can hear now! So we play loud sounds of thunderstorms, fireworks, car engines and more, on a daily basis.
Here they are at four weeks old!

June 13, 2024 – We took pictures of the puppies today after their bath and blow dry. They really don’t need baths at this age, as mama is great at doing the work of keeping them clean. But baths, along with blow drying and a lot of the other things we do here is about their temperament conditioning and bonding with humans.
They are doing well! Still mostly just sleeping and eating. Once in a while we’ll see them move about the pen, walking around like drunken sailors, still not real steady on their feet. They will be playing and chasing soon though! They’re a sleepy bunch, as mama tends to their every need and they barely have to move to get what they need. We rarely hear them, they’re a really quiet litter. We give mama Rosie all the credit for that! You can tell in their pictures, they are a sleepy bunch. We had to wake them to take their photos. Here they are at three weeks old!

June 9, 2024 – The puppies are doing great. Since their eyes opened, we were excited to post an update of the cutie pies! Here they are at a little over two weeks old. Welcome to our world: Ruby, Rosalie, Rosemary, Rambo, Reggie, Roger, Remington, Robbie, and Richard. We’re so glad you’re here!

June 5, 2024 – The puppies are doing well! They’ve almost all doubled in weight, are eating well and soon their eyes will open. We’re in week two with these little ones and so far, not a lot has changed. Still they mostly only wake to eat, and then they go right back to sleep. They are massaged and bathed daily and continue the bio-sensor steps. Touch and feel is our way to connect with them and to bond with humans, as we wait for their eyes to open. Hearing will start at around three weeks old. Rosie is doing well and continues to be a great mama. Here are a few photos of the pups this week.

May 30, 2024 – Almost a week ago, on May 24, Rosie went into labor and delivered nine healthy red puppies! All are healthy and the labor was smooth and uneventful. Rosie is a champ, and is an excellent mama, as we expected from this sweet girl. The pups are all strong, eating well and gaining weight and we’re excited to make this announcement. There are six boys and three girls.
We’ll name this our “R Litter” and we’ll post names and individual pictures in a week or two. The pups are being bathed and massaged regularly (for stimulation and to begin their bond with humans), and are already doing their bio-sensor steps daily to begin their temperament conditioning. So important! Here are pictures of the pups today! We’ll keep this blog updated about once a week so that their families can watch them grow.
