September 30, 2024 – We were so late in updating this page! The pups all left a couple of weeks ago and are living their happy-ever-after story with their loving families. We are hearing good reports all around! All of the pups went home to wonderful families. At least a couple of the pups will be used for therapy work. This makes us so happy! Because of this litter, and the families that chose us, we were able to donate $1,800.00 to help victims of Hurricane Helene. So, we switched gears a bit this time, and chose to send our litter donation to help fellow citizens that are in crisis. Thank you to all the families! We loved this litter so much, and plan on repeating this breeding with Ally and Oakley again. This was Oakley’s first litter, and he did great! Here’s just one of the reports we received so far, regarding “Asher.”
“We are completely smitten, he’s the sweetest baby. His first night he only had one accident. He has been a champ with potty training using a clicker/reward system. He is so smart!! The first night he cried for about 2-3 minutes at bedtime in his crate, but I put on thunderstorm noises as suggested and he calmed right down and nearly slept through the night. He only woke me up once to tell me he needed out, then back to bed with ~10 min crying. No accidents since. We just had his first vet visit and no surprise he won over everyone in the office and was so good. People were complimenting how well behaved he was in the waiting area, just lounging in his portable car seat we brought him in on. We are so thankful he joined our family, he is an absolute joy.”

August 23, 2024 – Ally and Oakley’s puppies are getting ready for home! In addition to the information on temperament and personalities we noted below, we wanted to post the pictures we took of them today. Almost seven weeks old!
(Personalities updated Aug 28 – after they’ve matured more and we’re seeing some variation of changes in a couple of them.)
August 22, 2024 – Ally and Oakley’s puppies did great at their vet exams. All is well with each of them! And they all did really well, so quiet in their crates as they waited for their turns. They’ve made so much progress with their crate training and leash training and they’re exactly where we want them to be at this point. Every one of them is very social and confident! These pups are nonreactive to loud noises, new people and they are almost ready for home. They’re on the home stretch! Below we noted their weights, and you’ll see that some pups may grow to be 19-20 lbs., while others may be closer to 25. Some small differences in weights seem to be showing at this point. Not any huge differences though!
Here are some personality notes and information we gathered from their temperament testing and things we’ve observed here, for those of us that work with them every day. PLEASE NOTE THAT EXPERTS SAY THAT TEMPERAMENT AND PERSONALITY ASSESSMENTS AT THIS YOUNG AGE IS NOT A PREDICTOR FOR THEIR CHANGING PERSONALITIES, however we do temperament testing so that we can verify that each and every pup is where we want them to be in temperament, showing proper bonding, following, submission, confidence, socialization, intelligence, along with other important factors. But this is what we see so far!
Each and every pup scored exactly the same on following, bonding and intelligence. And all of their temperament scoring shows every pup to be outgoing and friendly, easily controlled, adaptable and can adjust well in new situations. Flexible temperaments that adapt well to different types of environments and train easily. These are very smart animals! Demeanors are all gentle and affectionate.
Asher, 6.4 lbs. Asher is tending toward being the pack leader. Very confident. His temperament is revealing itself to be somewhat fearless. He likes to investigate, loves adventure. Attention seeker, loves human interaction even more than food or toys. Very sweet, and medium energy. His enthusiasm and energy falls in line with most of the litter. If he sees us, he tries to scale the puppy pen (and succeeds!) to get to us. “My people!!” He loves affection, settles down quickly in our arms for snuggling and is very loving. Very intelligent and is teaching new tricks to the other pups.
Aaron, 5.0 lbs. is a very balanced pup. Neither too laid back, or too energetic. Settles easily but also eager to jump in and “get to work.” Curious. Would be easily adaptable, quick to learn and could do well at service work because he shows motivation to tackle new things. Aaron shows to be a little less energetic than some of the other boys.
Adam, 6.6 lbs. Confident and alert, he observes us humans closely and is eager to please. He is fun, and perhaps one of the more laid back pups in the litter. Calm, cuddly, and confident is what describes him. He’s got like a, “Whatever” attitude toward whatever is going on. Cool and collected is Adam.
Amelia, 5.1 lbs. Fun, energetic, and playful. Adventurous. When the pups are called to come during playtime, she’ll run a lap first. She’s sweet and loving and settles easily when picked up, but will play just a little longer and harder than the others at times. She loves people, like they all do but also wants to make sure she gets the fun in!
Austin, 6.4 lbs. Very friendly, no sitting back for him when there’s a person nearby. He wants to be with us humans above food and toys. He’ll stop eating or playing to come over if a person is within reach. He is always among the first to come when called, but it may take him a little more time than a few of the others to settle. Showing a little more energy than a few of his siblings. Loves attention, playful, curious. Energy level seems similar to Amelia. Like the other pups, Austin would do well in therapy work. He can be more calm and relaxed and tends to settle a little faster than Asher.
Anna, 5.5 lbs. Seems to want love and being held whenever possible. She enjoys playing of course, but she would rather snuggle. She’s a pretty laid back, lower energy pup. Still loves to wrestle and play, but chooses a lap most every time if she can. A very sweet, loving pup.
August 17, 2024 – Ally and Oakley’s puppies are growing fast and our time with them is winding down. Hard to believe it’s been six weeks since we waiting up with mama late at night, watching for these pups to decide to come out! They come out as little blobs, looking somewhat like hamsters, and then they turn into this! So so cute!
August 10, 2024 – Ally’s and Oakley’s puppies are five weeks old today! They really are a cute bunch. They have perfect coats (the straighter the coat at this age, the less matting we see) and their wonderful temperaments are shining through already. We are loving them! They are quiet, confident and plump. That part is a reflection of Ally’s attentiveness and feeding them all day long! No rest for this mama it seems. She loves them so much. Well, they are getting out of the pen to play and wrestle more and they are starting to love toys. They love humans and focus on us. You can see in the pictures below that they now can peek over the pen and watch us. How adorable is that?? We happened to have a camera close by to capture some of our daily images of the puppies. Here they are!
August 2, 2024 – Ally and Oakley’s puppies are growing fast. They are starting to become more active and we’re getting them outside of the pen now on a daily basis to let them have play time. (We’ll try to capture some video of them playing soon and post it on our Instagram page.) We’ve been doing sound conditioning daily and they are nonreactive to “scary” sounds they hear. Today they had a bath and a blowdry, something we do regularly for conditioning them to being handled, tolerating dryers and enduring baths. (The groomers appreciate our work here!) They are using a litter box to do their business now, and they are learning not to soil where they sleep and play. Daily we walk around with them on their backs (this teaches submission as they learn to trust us humans more and more.) They are doing well and are exactly where we want them to be. Here they are at four weeks old!
July 28, 2024 – Ally and Oakley’s pups are doing great. We already feel this is a great batch of labradoodle puppies! When they aren’t being held, massaged and bathed by us humans, they still mostly just sleep and eat. But it won’t be long before there are chasing and playing! They can hear now and so we have started them on sound conditioning, so they are now listening to “scary” noises like thunderstorms, fireworks, traffic, blow dryers, vacuums and more to produce the best labradoodle puppies. We want them to be nonreactive to these things, producing a calm, sweet, confident temperament. Mama Ally still doesn’t like to leave their side and jumps to attend to them as soon as they make a squeak. The way I see it, she gives them no reason to move. Lol. They are plump anThey are getting so cute!
July 16, 2024 – Ally’s puppies are doing very well, thriving and gaining weight daily. Ally is an excellent mama, as expected. Ally and Oakley’s temperaments are golden, so we know that they will produce the best labradoodle puppies. It was an uneventful delivery, and she brought us two girls and six boys, all with white markings. We’re started the pups on their biosensor steps, the important neurological stimulation techniques that we do here, and they are started on one of the most important steps in developing great temperaments. They arrived on July 6. They’re going to be adorable labradoodle puppies! We’ll post pictures soon and updates on this blog weekly so that you can watch them grow. We’re excited for these labradoodle puppies with Ally and Oakley!
